For Villas and Gardens in Florence

For villas and gardens is a new exhibition project “labeled” Small Museums by Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze. Investigates the Florentine territory to the “flat”, once agricultural area between Florence and Sesto Fiorentino Monte Morello.

For villas and gardens continues until November 14 and allows free visits to a number of artistic treasures, first of all the Villa Corsini di Castello closed for years and is now open, fully restored, as Antiquarium by the National Archaeological Museum in Florence.

The villa, used as storage by the Archaeological, but has a Baroque facade hides a soul Renaissance.

Not far is exceptionally reopened after many years Montagnola Etruscan tomb, a burial tholos perfectly preserved. Staying near Castle complete the circuit of the Medici villas Petraia and Castle, best known but always pleasant for a revisit, especially in summer, when style garden and plant collections – remember the sensational citrus Villa di Castello – give their best.
The event includes two Small Museums museums permanent, the Richard Ginori Museum of Sesto Fiorentino, which reflects the legacy of Doccia and exhibit works around the famous Medici Venus, and then Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the first building of Lords of Florence.

For villas and gardens is proposed as a route that can be tackled individually, getting the special “card” which entitles you to free admission at all campuses – contact the individual museums or the information office of APT Firenze, Via Manzoni 16 .

Or you can take advantage of guided tours, made a bus departing the ramp taxi to the train station SMN weekends.

Three new rooms in our Florence B&B

We have recently added three new rooms to our B&B in Florence city center. They are located on the first floor of an old building next to our house. The entrance is in Volta dei Tintori No.1 (a little cross street intersecting Corso dei Tintori) just a stone’s throw from the beautiful Lungarno delle Grazie.

All the rooms are wide, bright, cosy and furnished in a very elegant style. We offer the best service at a very affordable price. Like any other room, also the three new ones are ensuite rooms provided with air-conditioning, TV, WiFi internet access. Furnishings and decor are beautiful and, together with fabrics we have chosen, they reproduce the models of a traditional nineteenth-century Florentine house.

The three rooms are provided with their own private bathroom with anteroom, and they are equipped with shower and hairdryer. Each guest is given a full set of linen.

The B&B also has a common area equipped with refrigerator, microwave oven, kettle and coffee pot.

Guests staying in our new rooms in Volta dei Tintori No. 1 will have breakfast at a traditional coffee house a few steps from the B&B. The new rooms do not have an access to the main house and therefore do not share our breakfast room. Vouchers will be supplied at check-in.

These rooms represent a refreshing alternative Casa dei Tintori offers at a more affordable price while preserving the same quality level and services.
