While retaining its Medieval charm, the Bed and Breakfast is equipped with all the modern amenities, including air-conditioning, heating, private bathrooms with showers, TVs and a free fast Internet computer that enables guests to keep in touch with family and friends back home.
Each of the five private guest rooms is decorated in period furniture and fabrics in patterns and colors derived from the Florentine tradition of Medieval textile dyers.
Casa dei Tintori is located in a quiet, residential and very safe neighborhood with a variety of charming shops, good restaurants, and “ gelato “ stores that make life worth living.

The Medieval building has an interesting history. Eight centuries ago it was a dyers’ house, a large wool weaving and textile dying workshop. In fact the district originally teemed with similar craft workshops under the aegis of “Arte dei Tintori” (Art of the Dyers).
With the friendly help of your hosts, Riccardo and Lavinia, the B&B Casa dei Tintori in Florence, Italy can truly be your home away from home.
All the rooms are provided with air conditioning, TV, free WiFi and safe deposit box. They have an elegant private bathroom with shower and hairdryer.
A complete set of linen will be given to every guest. Daily cleanings and twice a week bedlinen change.
The furniture is tasteful and antique. It has been carefully chosen to recall the traditional colours of the Florentine art of dyers.
We have done every effort to establish and run this B&B according to ecological criteria.

The weather is so good since a few years, and you can find a very quiet atmosphere: there’s people around, but you will not find the big crowd typical of the summer period. All our guests ask us suggestions about traditional dishes from Florence and the best restaurants. But not many know about the aperitif tradition of Florence: it is a meal, usually in the late afternoon, consisting of little delicious snacks, served with a glass of wine. There are many shops offerings good aperitifs in Florence, however, since it is a local tradition, they tend to be located outside the city center.
This is why La Case dei Tintori B&B has decided to offer his guests a typical aperitif, and most importantly, a special moment of your holiday in Florence!

“After traveling from Rome by car, which I do not recommend, Ricardo helped us find their B&B. Since they are in the restricted driving zone, used for tourists walking and business traffic only, we were able to drop our bags and take the car back to the rental agency. read more…
