Continues until the 17th of July at Palazzo Strozzi, just a few minutes walking from our B & B in Florence, the exhibition entitled “Giovani e arrabbiati (Young and angry): Picasso, Miró, Dalí”, dedicated to the early work of these artists, who have played a decisive role to the beginnings of modern art. The exhibition examines the pre-Cubist Picasso between 1900 and 1905, while works by Juan Miró between 1915 and 1920 are presented in comparison to those of Salvador Dali’s five-year period 1920-1925, to put highlight the stylistic differences and relations that characterize the period before accession of the two artists to the poetics of surrealism. Each artist will be represented by a large group of works selected to investigate specific aspects of the early work, works that are rarely exposed to the public and yet dense with implications and suggestions for future developments.
